Benitez Dental Clinic offers dental veneers to strengthen teeth and restore your smile to a like-new condition.

Chipped, Stained, Or Cracked Teeth? We Have The Solution

If you’re suffering from damaged, discolored, or gapped teeth, you want a natural-looking solution that doesn’t break the bank. That’s why dental veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments on the market. We custom-shape these thin porcelain shells to fit over your teeth, restoring much-needed tooth strength while improving their natural appearance.

While other cosmetic dental treatments, such as dental crowns or composite fillings, involve invasive drilling and reshaping, veneers require very few alterations to the teeth, making the procedure affordable, quick, and painless.

Dental veneers can correct a variety of cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • Closing tooth gaps
  • Correcting slight tooth misalignment or crookedness
  • Correcting tooth shape
  • Covering tooth chips
  • Reducing tooth sensitivity
  • Minimizing the appearance of a “gummy” smile
  • Restoring whiteness to severely stained teeth

“Why Should I Get Dental Veneers?”

While advanced dental issues require extensive treatments, like orthodontics solutions or dental bridges, dental veneers are ideal for treating minor cosmetic dental issues– and at a fraction of the cost.

The following are a few of the advantages dental veneers have to offer.

An Improved Smile

Dental veneers restore the natural strength and appearance of teeth and create the appearance of an overall brighter and white smile.

Minimally Invasive

Among the variety of cosmetic dental treatment options, dental veneers are perhaps the least invasive, requiring very few modifications to the natural teeth. At Benitez Dental Clinic, we often complete the veneer procedure in a single visit.

Less Expensive

Compared to other treatments, dental veneers remain one of the most affordable cosmetic dental treatment options. But that doesn’t mean they’re cheaply made. Veneers are made of porcelain– a high-quality and durable material similar in appearance to natural teeth.

The Dental Veneer Process

Before beginning your dental veneer treatment, you’ll need to come into our Mississauga dental office for a brief consultation. During this consultation, one of our doctors will examine your dental condition to confirm that your teeth and gums are healthy. If your doctor notices any issues, they may recommend a treatment plan before the veneer procedure to ensure that your veneers have a clean and healthy foundation. If your teeth and gums are healthy, they will discuss your treatment options with you to determine if dental veneers are right for you.

Before applying the dental veneer, your doctor will need to remove a thin layer of enamel, creating a rough surface to which the veneer can securely adhere. Your doctor will begin by numbing the area around the tooth with a local anesthetic, so you won’t feel a thing. Once the area is sufficiently numb, they will gently remove the enamel. Next, they’ll finish up by taking an impression of the tooth. This impression ensures that the shape of your veneer matches the exact shape of the surrounding teeth.

For your comfort, we’ll place a set of temporary veneers while your permanent veneers are being created. Once the permanent veneers are ready, we’ll remove your temporary veneers and bond the permanent veneers to the teeth. The doctor will then apply a few finishing touches to make sure the veneers fit well and blend perfectly with the surrounding teeth before applying a quick polish.

The best way to care for your veneers is by treating them the same way you do your natural teeth– brushing and flossing twice and day and coming in for routine dental cleanings every six months. With proper care, your veneers can last up to 15 years.
